Hi all,

I am a new subscriber to this forum. I've had 96 Toyota Tacoma for about 4 years now. I've been recently experiencing problems with drivers side seat-belt.

I have to yank on the seat belt a number of times before I am able to buckle it. It acts exactly like it would if you were to suddenly yank it while driving.

Please note that I have to yank on the belt, when completely stopped not while driving..

I'd appreciate any pointers before I haul it down to the dealer.

I know that the original post was from quite awhile ago but I have recently encountered this same problem with my '96 Tacoma. I have it rigged so that I don't have to spend 5 minutes pulling out the seatbelt everytime I hop in the truck but would like to get the problem resolved without taking it to a dealership.

Has anyone had to deal with this problem as well?
