so I'm pretty much in the same boat as the guy below me. i have a 96 corolla with a 1.6 ltr engine and an automatic transmission, I'm a student with very little money looking for some way to get a little more power out of my car for very cheap. i have plans to put a short ram air intake on it, but that will only do but so much. anybody out there with some suggestions??

Power is never cheap. The only way to get a significant power increase is to save enough money for a turbo. All this money you spend on so-called cold air intakes, etc. won't amount to much if any HP increase, just a decrease in the thickness of your wallet.
