Bad starter or starter contacts. DIY for starter contact replacement:

He said the starter was replaced so I don't think that is it. Check the starter wire leading down to the starter. Not the big one from the battery, but the smaller one. Put a meter on it and have a friend try to start it. (wire disconnected of course). It might be the starter relay.

ya i completely replaced the starter. So i dunno if its the contacts. also the guy at the part store sugested using jumper wire to bypass the relay. that didnt work either but the gauge of the wire could have somthing to do with it. so i just hook the meter to the lil wire on the starter and ground it? and im checking if there is amps comming out or what?what should i be checking for?
