The ABS dash light is now coming on in city driving. The breaks seem alright. I need to have the truck inspected this month and abviously an ABS light on is not a good thing. I'm mechanically incline if it's not to deep.

Check to make sure the brake fluid is at or a little above the "full" line in the reservoir. Even if the fluid is slightly below the line, the light will come on, the sensor is very sensitive.

Probably will sell the 99 taco and get a newer 4 door tacoma. rather not but we're adopting and theres not enough room in the extra cab for a car seat.

Just found out it is a sensor on the driver's side front wheel, $200.00!!. OEM only. That sucks.
