Hi Everyone, Proud 2003 Toyota 4Runner SR5 owner here and I really love this truck. It has been perfect from the day I bought it in Nov. 2002. I've only had to replace the front disc pads once, replace the factory tires (truck has 59k miles) and change the oil(every 5k mi.). Recently I have noticed that when turning on the a/c, it has a mold smell when running in the 2 lower settings. The mold smell disappears when turned to 3 , 4 or Hi. Anyone have any idea what is causing this odor? Thanks, "Toyota Dan"

Not to be a smart ass, but mold. The higher air flow is masking the odor. Any good a/c shop will have something industrial strength to kill it off. Also, is the a/c draining?
