Hiya All Celica Fans! I have aquired a noise which when in the car sonds like its coming from the bottom of the engine in between the wheel and the exhaust. It started off as a grind/crunch noise and now has gone into a squeal/grind sound. Does not sound like the CV, but happens when I brake and turn. More noise when I'm turning right. Had a look and can't see no broken rubbers, although I can't see the wishbone, any ideas?? Many Thanks, Chris

Hi Chris, I had a similar problem. Grinding sound especially when turning right. Problem was the shock absorbers. OK now since I replaced them. Where are you located? Any pix of your car? Rob

Mine used to suffer from the tyres catching the wheelarch liners on full steering lock. I suspect this isn't the problem you're describing though...

Hi Chris, Any luck with your car? That's a nice convertible you have. Mine is a 1990 ST183. Pretty much stock standard except for the 17 in rims and 45 tyres. Use it for my daily transport. Changed the photo in my profile so you can see it. Looks like same color as yours.

Rob, first what country are you in and where did you get that front skirt/splitter, It makes your car look really smart, I wonder if it would do a convertible any justice?? Have you had a new paint job, I'm thinking of one as there is a chip on the rear arch an a bit of sun fade on the boot. The car car has a standard 3S-GE engine I toyed with a few engine modifications but have only decided on a BlueFlame stainless steel exhaust, shame to spoil her!
