Seems if we as a people can land tonka-toys on mars, would'nt there be a subgenius out there who could (and would) weld a 10 inch area of rust on my otherwise perfect chassis????...Honestly, there is'nt one car out there I would want to put my engine into...Also would this be arc or mig welding?...Spent over $4000 on upgrades already, so I'm commited.

The rust is right under the passenger footboard...Just behind the axle...Looks as if someone tried to bolt it together, and then cover it up with zebar.When I get weight on it it shimmies a bit..I should be able to just cut it out and replace it, right? but what should this cost? and why won't a bodyshop even talk about doin it??? Thanx for the reply...

Thanks a billion for the suggestion....It makes sense, as there's a ton of mobile dudes with welders..I'm gonna get on it, and document it all on film so other celicas don't wrestle the crusher.
