I have a 2008 Corolla. Anyone ever add a glove box light to the 03-08 model? I have seen some examples on other sites for different manufacturers but not for the Corolla. Any suggestions?

Its very easy to do. You just need a switch that is a push switch like you would find on most car doors. Or a glove box switch. Some wire and a bulb. Just depends on how handy you are to get it done really.

i have put lights in my 08 corolla specifically neons, i would get a switch that comes with wiring, not a flip switch like those crapy racing "nos" switches...keep it simple. buy a light or l.e.d. that can be used with the switches and use double stick tape or whatever you want and install it whereever you want in the glovebox

You can make the job even easier by eliminating the switch and just wire the bulb to a circuit that applies power whenever the headlights are on. That's the way the factory did it on my Highlander. I would use a long-life incandescent or better yet, a high brightness LED bulb.

I would suggest pulling power off your fuse panel (switched power) going into a pressure switch(rocker style contact). You can purchase this and the aux. bulb w/wire bracket at any auto parts store. Run a inline 10 amp fuse between switched power source and the location of the light in the glovebox. If you tie into headlamp power, the bulb will always be on because the lights are always on while the vehichle is running. I hope this is helpfull.
