Hello everyone, I'm new on here, I am writing because I bought my very first car two days ago!!! I bought a 2007 toyota corolla ce. I am so excited and I am absolutely in love with everything about my new car.... except the sound system. The factory installed system is a joke and so after much research I bought a Pioneer In-Dash Player (DEHP3900MP). I'm going to have it installed this evening at circuit city but I'm afraid that I might get ripped off by the salespeople. I was there briefly yesterday and they told me that there were a bunch of additional parts I need to buy to get my radio installed. Can anyone please tell me what parts I really do need if any? I have a very small budget and I would hate to be tricked into buying a bunch of unnecessary parts. I plan on completely customizing my car (even if it is a lowly CE compared to most of yall's S's), so I'll probably be on here for advice often.

Thanks so much for any help ya'll can give me.

You will probably need to buy an antenna adapter and a harness adapter and maybe a faceplate adjuster. I dont know if your stock head unit is taller than the pioneer unit..it probably is. In all it shouldnt cost you more than $40.00 in parts. You should shop around and try and get a unit that comes with speakers for a deal. You would be better off waiting until you find something like that.

Definitely shop around and see what the parts you need are...maybe go to Circuit City and tell them you need to know what parts you would need and get the list with the prices and then look online or somewhere else and see what the average price is (don't forget to factor in labor because it probably takes a little while to put the new system in)....good luck
