I`m new to this site but hope someone can help. I have a few questions about the air con in my 3.0 Surf KZN130. I need to change the valve that is located behind the passenger dashboard somewhere.

My first question is what is that valve called (can;t remember1!) - my symptons are, aircon works fine on tickover but stops cooling when engine revs increase - this pressure valve has been ID'd as the culprit!

Next where can I purchase a new valve in the UK?

Next, does anyone have any instructions for removing the dash and replacing the valve?

Hi. i am new to this site too and this is my first post.
i have exactly the same problem. i had the surf into my local garage for its m.o.t. and asked the mechanic to look at it for me. he observed that the pump part of it turned at low engine speeds but stopped turning at higher engine speeds. he squirted lubricant into the shaft part of it and since then the air con has been working fine.
so if u have not done it already, lift up the bonnet and have a look. if its the same problem it will save u a lot of money.
