Hi,
Mine is 2005 Rav4 Automatic 2.4 L. Somebody says that to have good mileage, one should replace air filter. Can anybody show how to replace it. Is it hard to do it ?

Should be a big black air box that's connected to the engine right under the hood. The boxes usually have clips to secure the lid down. Just pop the clips up and remove the lid, and replace the airfilter. It's easy.

Good suggestion and since its such an easy thing to replace, I do it more often than the garage tells me to do it. I figure anything I can do myself helps (IMG:style_emoticons/default/460.gif)

I really wouldnt bother replacing it more than the manual says. Your just going to be wasting money. Unless you constatnly drive through dusty conditions.

Got a K&N filter for the RAV. $60.00. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/banana.gif) Thing about K & N's is that you'll never have to replace them and you only clean them maybe twice a year or so. Supposedly they also give a 1 to 2hp bump because of increased airflow. I don't have a dyno so I couldn't tell ya.
