Well, found out 4wheel carries a matched pair of alternator belts for the 3-L for $30, and a complete belt kit for $80.
I went with the pair- the other belts were fine, so no need for a whole kit. It was not a
quick job, even at my mechanics with the lift it took 1.5 hours and I had to help. The
belts were a bit snug going on - I had to turn as he levered them on. Quicker next time I'm sure. I'm also sure it was no longer than it would have taken any specialist in Edmonton, and the guy at A plus (where I took it
charges $57.50/h instead of $80-$100.
