hi everyone

i have a 1986 hiace with a 3y engine

i'm trying to replace the brushe's in my alternator thought i'm having some trouble getting the alternator out.

i've got the belt off and removed it from the 2 brackets that hold it to the engine, but i can't seem to squeeze it out anywhere. wondering whats the easiest way to get it out?

ie go through all the effort of removing the power steering pump.

go through a ton of effort to get the raditor out (might do that one as radiator needs to come out anyway.

anyone else got suggestions. my local libary which has the work shop manual has lent it out to someone and its over due :(
