my friend did the same thing with his 00 celica the 00-02 s2000 attena will fit the celica and you can find this on any honda replacment shop online and just look for a replacement attena for a s2000 good luck, and by the way the s2000 attena looks alot better on the celica than the celica attena did.

I just got this on Ebay for $25.25 shipped haven't received it yet.

There are at least two more available if you're interested.

I'm not sure if the S2000, has a power antenna, which is different, but I have always had problems with power antenna's breaking.

On Ebay, just search Ebay Motors for "Toyota Celica Custom Antenna".

Well that is much better than the stock antenna, and for $25 can't go wrong.

I'll let you know how it works as far as reception goes when I get it.

Do let us know. I've been tempted by a few aftermarket items on Ebay but so far haven't gone ahead with a purchase.

You could always clip a coat hanger short... ;)

I've known a few people who had a car that didn't have an external antenna at all...always wondered how that works, or if there's a way to convert other cars. I don't really remember, but I seem to recall one of them having the antenna component hidden as thin wires inside the rear window...

Aah, but then where would you put your antenna ball. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/grin.gif)

I got the antenna installed, but I have to say, there is a loss in the quality of my reception, now I'm thinking about an antenna booster.

It fades in and out from time to time.

I've had the s2000 antenna on my celica for about 3 or 4 years now and haven't really had any reception problems. I do live in a metropolitan area which im sure has a stronger signal than living out in a more rural area.

Yeah, I think it's because I live in the burbs that it fades that way, either way I have to get something to boost it or something different.

I would like to replace my mast antenna on my 04 Celica GT with a power antenna (like I used to have on my 94 Celica GTS). Is this possible? And if so, how difficult? And lastly, where can I get one?

Wow, I feel dumb. I have a 2001 Dodge Durango that gets poor reception in some of the places that I travel. Haven't ever even thought about an aftermarket antenna, even though I have aftermarket exhaust and stuff like that! How dumb am I? Sorry to here that the antenna didn't get as good reception as you thought it would Maybe you can get a good cheap booster on ebay too!
