Hello people! I was wondering how is your experience with an Echo, since one of the guys I was talking to said he sold the Echo he had because it was a bad car, not great performance and was not as cheap as he thought it would be at the pump. He is the only person I´ve heard having an Echo... so I´m a little curious to know other people´s experiences on this. Thanks.

My neighbor has one...she absolutely loved it when she first got it and now she hates it. I think she hates the way it looks compared to other cars! She said she has had early problems with the vehicle, as well!

Im a proud owner of an Echo 2000.

I got mine not beucase it had nice looks (I wanted the Civic Hatchback) but for the features it had compared to the Civic. After all, Im not the one looking at it while Im driving it :)

My Echo came with 13" wheels which aren't the ones you're supposed to get, but it gave it nice accelerating speed, I dont complain about it. On the fuel mileage.... it has averaged (in 7 years) around 350 miles per tank with ocasional 370-400 miles when you do long distance traveling averaging (at least for me) around 55-60mph, which is not the most economical speed.

Usually a full tank gives me around 10 to 14 days, this is a small 10 gallon tank (35L) most Accords do 300 miles per tank, but far as I know... they have 60-65L tanks.

On the inside, the car looks nice. Im a tall guy (6' 2") and even if I try to sit tall... I still have like 3 or 4" of clearance to the roof. I used to own an Isuzu Impulse (1986 turbo intercooler) and that was a 3 person car, as I had to sit as back as possible so the roof and my head didnt meet each other often. Still, 2 different pieces of machinery, but I love how comfy the ride on this Echo is.

Is not a perfect car, but I love it.

I bought an Echo new in 2000. Consistantly got 40 to 42 mpg. It had at and ac. You could fit 4 adults and their luggage in comfortably. Very low maintenance required. You have to be careful in a crosswind because of its height and light weight. I wish I didn't sell it to my sister in 05. But she loves it so its ok. Planetaco
