Hi, I'm new to this site - I noticed alot of views but not many responses to others' questions. Hope I have better luck than some of the others. Bought a 2006 Matrix - nice car, lousy stereo. I mean bad. What's the good word on upgrades that won't cost me a fortune? I'd probably like to replace speakers first. Any recommendations? I'm not even sure what size they are. Also, how difficult is it to get grills off? Thanks for any and all responses. +peace+

If you don't already have a chilton or hayes manual, get one! They are great for figuring out specs on your car. I prefer JBL for realistic sound, but you have to watch what you buy to balance everything properly.

always start with a good player. following that u might want to look into amplifiers, component sets, woofers, preamps, ansd etc. the first step is always a good cd player

Yup, Chilton is good! As for the others, well, I can't really say much.
