I would like to hear from the people that actually have the car, what do they think of the new model? What are the improvement? Would you add something to it? Of course this is only so I can live vicariously through others that can buy now the brand new RAV4 2007... I just hope it has more cup-holders than mine did back in 1997!

Is it possible that nobody in this forum bought the new RAV4? Oh well... I guess I'll have to look for those opinions somewhere else on the internet... But since I visit here everyday, I thought someone might know someone who knows someone who bought the new RAV4 2007! Here in Germany, I don't know anybody with a RAV4...

Hi,

I just bought a RAV4 (Base model). Absolutely love it. There are plenty of spaces where I can store my water bottles. Each door has space on the bottom that fits a good size bottle and as far as actual cup holders:
2 cup holders below the CD area
2 cup holders in the 2nd row seats in the middle (pull down the arm rest)
2 cup holders (one on each side) in the trunk area...i believe it's for the potential 3rd row seat passengers.

I do have one question, though. Is there a setting where I can start the engine and all the doors will automatically lock itself? My old 1996 RAV4 has that feature so I was pretty surprised that the 07 didn't have that. Then I heard from someone that there might be a setting where I can turn on this feature. I looked at my Owner's manual, but couldn't find anything. If someone can help me out, that'll be great.
Thanks!

Mine has that feature (doors lock when engine starts). I have a factory installed alarm system. My old Camry which had an after-market alarm system had that feature as well.
