Its probably Auto Matic slip Control. To tell, pull up into a puddle of water and jam on the gas. The tires should spin. Now turn on the ASC and try again, it should cut out fuel until the tires hook.

Could be to engage the auto close function or might be just a dummy button. I've seen them both ways. No.....it's not Automatic Slip Control or Automatic Stability Control. It should be Automatic Slap Control though. ha ha (IMG:style_emoticons/default/clap.gif)

Ive never seen a dummy button in a car before. Useually when there is a missing option, they just block off the button all together.

ASC is an aftermarket company that makes all sorts of trick roofs and what not. We use to have them installed on people's cars all the time. And that question about the "ASC" button came up quite often. And after talking w/ the installer and rep., we learned that most of the time, it's just another button w/ the company name on it. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/banana.gif)
