I have an 01 Corolla and it has the automatic headlights. Something is not working correctly because the headlights are on all the time. Even when it is nice and sunny outside.

Does anyone know how if there is way to disable the automatic headlight system?

Thanks in advance for any/all help!

All corolla's feature daytime running light's..but there is a way to disable them, and it's quite easy.

here's a website that I found which give simple instructions

Thanks for that as I was curious how to disable the daytime running lights.

However, my Corolla actually always has the headlights (headlights, parking lights, etc) on when driving. I am trying to find out how to disable that sensor on the dash.

I am guessing the sensor is bad. So I was thinking it probably has two wires going to it and the sensor acts as a switch.

I was hoping someone has already gone down this road though (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beer.gif)

theres an easier way, I believe there is a black and white wire where you cut the black wire. It turns off the auto permanantly and you have to flip the switch to turn on the lights. Works for my car with HIDS.
