Check to see if your fan and alternator belts are loose. If they are, get them tightened ASAP. Drive gently, using as little electricity as possible to the mechanic's. The belts that charge your alternator also run your cooling system. You do not want to overheat. If the temperature guage goes above 6/10, pull over and switch off immediately. Overheating can result in a warped cylinder head, which is no good at all.

Otherwise, get the battery tested. My Hiace uses a fairly normal 12v battery. I do not know about yours. But if the belts are loose or it's a battery that has run its course, then probably just replacing it will work.
Cheers,
-Mark

Many thanks for your help. I replaced the battery and all is well. But it did overheat and had thermostat replaced. Still running well

Glad to hear things worked out with your new Battery. Sorry to hear you overheated. Might be worthwhile to get your rad checked if you haven't already.

Cheers,
