Drives: 2004 Corolla LE manual shift

hi guys,
My V belt is making noise at start-up and then becomes quiet. I already changed the belt 1 year ago so I wonder if I should change the tensioner as well. Now regarding tensioners the OEM one is $200 but AutoParts sells one for 50 dollars, Dayco brand. Is this last one a real piece of crap or it's ok? anyone used it?
