I am considering purchasing an '07 Tacoma, but I want to do it when I can get the best deal on a new one. Does anyone know when would be the best time to purchase a new one to get the best deal? I thought that waiting until the '08's came out would drive down the cost of the '07's, but I am not sure. Any opinions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Your best bet would be to wait until the '08s are on the dealers' lots and buy a leftover '07 that is sitting on the lot.
The only risk with that is you might not be able to find a truck with the color or options you want.
Dont expect a huge price cut though. Due to the high demand, you wont get a much of a break from a Toyota dealer and you would with a comparable Ford, Chevy/GMC or Dodge.

Yes, I agree with Bakemono. Last year we were looking at the new 2007's when they first came out and the dealership had 3 2006's ... They were brand new with zero miles and the same perks as the 2007's but nearly $8000 cheaper!

Since I have only purchased one new Toyota Tacoma back in 1998. The research I did indicated that the end of the month is the best time to buy, and December is the best month because sales are very slow during this time of the year and not too many people are out buying new vehicles around Christmas. Have all your homework done and head out on Dec 29, 30 or 31st.

When I went to purchase my truck in December 1998 there were no 1997 left on the lot.

Just my 2 cents.
