2000 Camry V6. I'm attempting to flush the brakes using a Griot's Garage Vacuum Bleeder, the type you connect to an air supply.

I cannot get any flow from the bleed screw, even though the bleeder is supplying a vacuum.

If I remember correctly there is a check valve in the master cylinder circuit which only opens when the push rod attached to the brake pedal pushes the piston forward. I haven't bled the brakes on my car, so I'm not positive. I suggest you hook up the vaccuum bleeder and slower step on the brake till it goes to the floor. Hold it a second and let it up. Lock down the bleeding screw and refill the master cylinder and then go on to the next wheel refilling the master cylinder each time.. Usual order is R/R, L/R. R/F/ L/F.
