Help,

I just took in my 05 4runner for it's 60,00 checkup and they told me I had a bad tire sensor (front right) and that it couldn't be read and was keeping the sensor light on. Light was on when I took it in.

I opted to wait on the replacement and picked up the car that night.

To my surprise the sensor light was out when I picked it up.

Two days later the light came back on but was blinking this time.

I drove for a week before taking it to another dealer. They were actually very helpful and seemed to go out of their way to check it out for me. The specialist even went as far as showing me that the computer was no longer communicating with any of the wheels. No tire pressure or temperatures from any of the wheels including the spare. He did re-set it and it has remained out for 3 days now, but he said it may come back on at any time since there is no communication.

He indicated that it could be as simple as a fuse or more work like an antenna or sending unit.

Has anyone heard of this before?

Where would I look to check on a fuse for the sensor unit?

Where would I find the unit and antenna?
