Hello,

Recently, when I turn a corner, the brake light on the dashboard of my 2000 toyota sienna comes on, when I clear the turn, the red brake light goes off. It doesn't appear that I have any obvioius brake problems, but maybe I do and that's why the light is coming on. It's just strange that the light only comes on when I turn.

The tire sensor light comes on and off while driving too, even though it's been reset after having new tires, pressure seems to be ok. Wonder if I'm just having some sort of electical malfunction. The van has 101,000+ miles on it.

Thanks!

I know this may sound crazy, but when this happened on an old nissan of mine, it was something very simple. My gas tank plug was off. I replaced it and the light no longer came on.

Hi
I and a friend both have had this problem. Topping up the brake fluid makes it go away.

Theory: as the brake pads wear, the fluid goes goes down, setting off the light. Now: WHY does the fluid level set off the light? My little owner's manual sheds no light on this.....

Best Regards,
Paul

Brake light going on is a sign of worn pads. I think Toyota built that in. For pressure, try manuall reseting by pressing button on lower left of sterring wheel.

Check the brake fluid reservoir, it could be low on fluid.
