While driving my 99 Toyota Landcruiser, both the ABS and Brake lights came on, along with a high pitched continuous beep. I pulled over, turned my car off, then back on. I noticed that the brakes were now barely working when I put the car in drive or reverse, and had to use the emergency brake to come to a complete stop. I had it towed to a brake shop and was told that preliminarily speaking, he does not think it's the brake pads.

Can anyone help with diagnosing?

Very much appreciated and hopeful for a non-$3,000+ solution...

Hello

Wow sounds scary, your brake shop is right its not the brake pads.

Its most likely the Brake Booster on your car.

When your brake booster fails, then your brake systems fail.

Do you regularly check/change the brake fluid.

Brake fluid should be change every once and while especially during brake pad changes.

If its a faulty brake booster then you have to change it.

Umm try these guys out, i got parts for my car at a really low price. Especially the brake booster its usually expensive so try them out
