Hi all,
I seem to have an issue with the brakes on my 28. Most of the time
the master cylinder doesn't seem to be returning when I release my foot off the
pedal. The pedal and assumedly the booster components are retracting but the
pistons (in the master cylinder) don't seem to be maintaining pressure against
the shaft from the booster.
The master cylinder and booster are relatively unused (maybe 18months from
new before being taken off last car) but did sit for maybe two years before I
dug them out of my stash and put them on to my current car. I'm thinking that
maybe the cylinder might have some corrosion or something that might be causing
the pistons to stick. If anyone has any other thoughts or potential
solutions any feedback is welcome.
Cheers
Glen
