Hi Team, I have a Toyota Allex from Japan 2005 model, it has a remote lock and un lock, my question is that the driver door handle has a little black button on it, it seems that you can lock the doors with this button if you have the remote with you, then if the remote is not in range you can not push the button to unlock the doors, does this sound right, just that if the remote is not near you can't open the doors with the black button, hope this is right, can anyone put more light on the subject please.

it's a security measure, and it's also there to make it easier to enter your car. Basically if the remote is in range anyone could open it, it just makes it so you don't have to put the key in the door handle. So, you're right. :D
