hey guys, im looking at buying a Toyota Hilux Surf LTD 1991, its got the 3 litre v6 petrol engine in it, now im just curious as to how well these engines perform? how reliable they are (aparantly the 2L and the 2L-t etc are crap) and how good they are offroad. any info would be a great help as im new the 4WD scene and dont wana waste the little money i do have on something thats going to die 1000km down the road..

Hey Shey

The v6 4 wheel drives are the biggest gas guzzlers out!

If you want reliability and economy get a diesel and save the regret.

The 2.8L or 3.0L turbo diesel hilux engines perform just as well.
