Hi, I'm driving a Ford Explorer at the moment and considering buying a Hiace Customm (imported) 3 L turbo diesel. I just want to know about reliability of parts and overal stories from owners. How Hiace compare to Delica, and what I have to watch for when buying. I live in Australia and see them very often here.
The whole car looks very tempting and reasonably priced compare to local Tarago's and Hiace's

The Delica is a Mitsubishi product and one I would stay well clear of.

I get a lot of flaming but I would not buy anything that starts with M.

Expensive to repair and maintain, and often unreliable.

Our courier fleets use exclusively Hiace vehicles and they are the number one selling van throughout the country.

I am on another motoring forum and when someone asks "What van?" the replies are always "Toyota Hiace".

You can't beat them.

The Hiace will have a much better resale value than the Delica any day.
