I have just bought caldina gt-t 98 and no stuff all about the sat/nav tv dohicky.
Can anyone with info about it please let me know, all I know so far is how to turn it on.
Can it play dvds, can it get television somehow?
Can it be converted to english, if so how and approximately how much?
Can I get english instructions somewhere?

Thanks.

Hello Souped

Not too sure I can be massively helpfull but i will try.

I have a 1997 GT-T seems all my satnav and tv was removed before export to the U.K

from the very sketchy info i have gleened from the net it seems that as the caldina was a JDM car only there never was a requirement for it to have any of the electrical trick items work anywhere other than japan hence most of the kit gets removed.

probably not what you want to hear.

as an aside the caldina seems to be a very popular car over in New zealand....I am still trying to find another U.K owner one has posted in here with a ST196 but really wanting to hookup with ST215 owners.

Thanks for your input it was helpful, I also contacted toyota NZ and they said the only way they could change it was to take the Jap TV out, and put NZ one in. Sounds expensive tho so dont think I will bother at this stage.

i just got my Caldina yesterday, and it too has a sat/nav, except it doesn't open.

Am I to presume they've just cut the wiring on it pre-export instead of removing it? All fuses seem fine.

If so, were would the wires be? Directly behind it or further through the dash?

My sat/nav works fine but not much use as it is set up for Japan. Don't know about wire part.
