Hi,
I've talked with 2 Toyota dealerships about this issue. I bought this truck with the unexpected problem:
When I attempt to put gas in the truck the gas doesn't flow at the proper speed all the way down the neck causing a build up of the fumes kicking the gas pump to kick back and stop the pump.

One dealership back in NY said that the charcoal canister needs to be replaced -mind you it was an over the phone diagnosis.

A local dealership looked over the truck for 2 days and could not pinpoint the issue. They said it MAY be the the charcoal canister or the gas tank needs to be cleaned out.

HELP. All opinions are welcome.

i'm having the same problem. let me know if you fix it.

turn your key on to the position just before start, but dont start. Start your pump filling and let it go for a second, then turn the key off.
