In spite of our desire to stay off politics, I must add that if you care about the environment, which all Prius owners do, you have only one choice, - Gore/Leiberman. Not only is it the only choice, it's the best choice we've ever had!

Anyone who believes in the US constitution and its requirement that the President and Vice-President be not from the same state should either stop owing allegience to the constitution or not vote for Bush/Cheney.

Whether you're a Liberal or a Conservative, it's just great to know that we Prius owners are helping to keep the air clean while also participating in the best market-forces method to lower gasoline prices: that is to lower demand by using less of it. That should score points for both sides of the aisle. ;-)
Mark

OK, gloves off, what has anyone done since 1972 when we had a taste of what was to come, congress and the pres. have left us down, Fuel cell and better batteries with solar cell Tech is the way to go. Sure Solar cell is only about 5% to 10% efficiency currently, but it will get better. Some day we will have room temp. supper condectors that will give us the new way for transportation.

Toyota and Honda and the heros here, putting there money where there heart is. Giving us cars that will lead us to better transportation that is good for the env. and for us.. And not just sitting back waiting like GM and Ford... oh they are now hard at work, but where were they three years ago when Toyota came out with this car in Japan... Oh I know the EV1, but even GM knew that the limited range would keep the car close to home base, and unuseable for the LONG haul..

I have gone on long enough. There is no one canidate that will really be able to help.... It is left up to the common people, congress, and research funding that will get the job done.... Off the soap box.. Lets get back taking about this great car...

What will be on the 2002 model... I want to start dreaming, and when will it be coming out.... around tax refund time.... I will have some money then.. :)

no, the USA model just does not have the options I want, and a letter from Toyota said that the 2002 would. for $20,000+ I am willing to wait 8 more months for the next model... my money, my choose. Now if I could get that Can. mod. here in Texas, we would have a whole different story... besides I will have a better down payment by then and lower finance charges... ;)

Have ya'll seen that new battery that NEC is talking about... not in production, or might never be but a big leap forward.... uses protron transferance as to electron. (if I remember correctly).

Best person for the Country/PRES, here, and these snakes are not it.... (all parties at this time)
