Hello--

My 2003 Camry trunk release stopped working from the lever at the driver's floor. I removed the trunk liner, and noticed that the release cable end is just hanging through a square hole in the lock mechanism. Can someone tell me how this should actually be connected? Thanks, here's a pic...

My problem is similar. The fuel tank door cable broke at the end, and had to be opened from inside the trunk.
Now I have new cable, but don't know how to replace it.
Any one able to help me out?

Hi ,

The trunk release cable on my 2004 Camry just stopped working. I am going to try to get the trunk liner off and see if it is broket there, but i don't know how to check and see if it is broke at the lever end. Where to do I look for that? If it is broke I would like to know 1. how to replace it, and 2. how much it SHOULD cost to have someone replace it. Thanks for any help you can give!!!
