For those of you in the U.S. who are bemoaning
the documentation fees, etc., tacked onto the MSRP,
this should make you feel better. This is from a
purchase agreement with a dealer in B.C., all figures in
Canadian dollars = $0.65 U.S.<br><br>Air conditioning tax
$100<br>Tire & battery tax $20<br>Provincial sales tax
7%<br>Federal sales tax 7%<br>Freight $775 (what do they do,
take the car off the ship and put it onto a train to
Toronto and back?)<br>PDI (general prep I believe)
$195<br>Documentation $125<br>Filing fee (???) $185<br><br>All this
adds almost 20% to the MSRP. The real kicker is that
you even pay sales tax on the air and tire/battery
taxes. Yes, in Canada even the taxes are taxed.
