SO, I got my car 1985 NA MR2 completely restored or so I thought.<br><br>I was so happy but now it starts up really rough and once it warms up it idles way to low around 500 - 600 and is very rough on acceleration so yet again it is parked in the drive. <br><br>Anything I should check change look at?

First off, I want to say that I don't know much about cars. Having said that, have you checked all your vacuum hoses? When is the last time you had a Tune-up done? Are the plugs old? What is the condition of the Cap & Rotor? Is the Spark Plug Wire set old and hard? Are all the Spark plug & Coil Wires making a good connection?<br> You most likely checked all these things already, but maybe if you reply back with the things that you have checked, someone with more knowledge will post a more complete answer to your problem. I hope it is something simple like a vac hose that fell off or a bad spark plug wire.<br> Good Luck with your MR2.....d

How old is the rubber connecting duct/tube between the airflow sensor and thottle body? Check it for a crack or hole. I had similar symptoms on an 86 BMW and a 89 Ford probe that were caused by that part. If air is sneaking in past the airflow sensor it will cause a lean condition the computer cannot completely control. That's my best guess. Jim
