I just got my Prius last weekend and it's already in the need of a Car Wash, do to snow and slush. But, if I were to go to an Automatic Car Wash, like at Chevron or something, does anybody know if the water pressure would be to high and get through the air vent to the battery behind the passenger window?
Thanks!

Put tape over the vent before going thru auto car wash, or wash yourself at home for greater peace of mind.

Just got mine, too! Washed it in front of my condo yesterday, putting masking tape over the vent to protect. Have fun with it!

Go right ahead and use the automatic car wash. I understand your concern but you can relax, you won't have a problem. The battery vent has a vent line that goes up to the grill you can see on the side of the car and another line that goes down and vents out the bottom of the car. Any water that makes it into the upper vent will drop out the lower vent...no big deal. Prius, just drive it...and wash it. Enjoy!

This is not a very good recommendation. You are far more likely to damage your car by putting tape on it than by gettting a little water into the battery vent. It is designed to allow for normal/moderate amounts of water even including that from automatic car washes...so relax and get that beautiful Prius you are so proud of cleaned up today!

All Right! That's what I was hoping to hear. I'll wash without fear(and fingers crossed:-)) this weekend.
