My uncles '01 V6, automatic, 4X4 extended cab has 61k on the clock and has had the CEL on for a few MONTH now. A independant mechanic said that his OBDII scaner would not pull the emisions code and that it was air fuel related. he cleared the code and it came backj in two days. Does the Taco have a common CEL code I can have him try? Toyo stealership wants $75 just to look at it. It takes awhile to crank to start and it is not as peppy up top?? DO NOT ASSUME IT IS EMISIONS RELATED JUST BECAUSE OF PERFORMANCE. MOST COMPUTOR CONTROLLED RIDES GO INTO DEFAULT MODE {LIMP HOME} WHEN SOME PROBLEMS ARE FOUND BY THE COMPUTOR.
