FOR ECONOMY, DRIVE WITH THE O/D ON, YOUR REVS WILL BE KEPT DOWN, YOUR TRANNY WILL KEEP ON THE ECONOMY SIDE AT THE LOSS OF SOME POWER. PEACE

It might be worth experimenting.  A friend of mine found that using O/D OFF, he got better economy because the engine worked more efficiently. An engine labouring at low revs may not be as efficient.   For ease of driving I usually have O/D off driving around town and on for cruising at speed - I think that is the way it was intended to be used.   Do you also have buttons for PWR and MANU which change the auto from between 3-speed and 5-speed (I think).  PWR means you get up to higher revs before gear change up.

I drive one, and I would say you have asked the wrong question. Overdrive off is always best for calm driving, economy and minimal engine wear. Overdrive on is best for the 'driving experience' and for those times when you would like / need a bit more poke.
