Hello,

I just joined this forum and, naturally, am looking for free help. I own a 1992 Celica GT Convertible with the 2.2L engine. This car had the premium sound system with the amplifier under the passenger's seat. A couple of years ago I had the door speakers replaced with aftermarket speakers at a reputable local auto sound shop. They informed me that they had to wire the speakers differently to make them work because it appeard that the factory system only used the door speakers as subwoofers. Well, I recently replaced the stereo system and used the connectors provided by Crutchfield to install the new system. All appears to be fine except that now I get no sound out of the door speakers. I have pulled the factory amp and can't see any unusual wiring.

Any suggestions on where the change in wiring might have been done that I can correct?
