i changed my engine form a 92 and put it in a 95 4 runner the engine worked fine but when i put it in the 95 it starts but it stalls i put the computer from the 92 in the 95 to see if that was the problem but it still dose the same thing i checked all the sparkplug wires and there fine the funny thing is if i press the gas it dont stall but if i let it go it stalls i dont understand it no more theres no lights in the dash on ty

A disconnected MAFS will do that.

You didn't say what engine you had, but in the V6, it's located in the top lid of the airbox. Their is a flapper inside that has to move and a wire connects at the top. I think the I4 is the same.

ok i found found the plug on top of the airbox and cleaned the contacts but still no luck. Oh and the engine is 3.0l 6 cyl. When i unplug the maf it seems to idle better for only 5 sec then bogs. I also took it for a test drive to see and it stalled and doesnt wanna start anymore. If any suggestion please help.

ok now i know why it doesnt wanna start anymore the fuel pump is not working when i turn the key on but it works when i test the fuel pump in the DLC1 so i know the
fuel pump is ok. I aslo got codes using TE1 and E1 in the DLC1 and these are codes i got 24 31 and 41. Anyone have a ideal?
