Hello there, first time poster here. I have a 2000 Land Cruiser V8 and I live in Africa. So my mechanic may not be the best trained in the world. I recently had my oil changed and about a day later, the check engine light came on. I checked the air filter and CCV sensor and everything is hooked up. I reset the battery by disconnecting the neg terminal. That worked and the light went off. I took for a drive to make sure everything was back to normal. About 30 mins into the drive - on goes the Check Engine light again.
So my question is could have the local African mechanic forgot to reset or reconnect something else? Is ther something I could check real quick before taking it back in. This is an American spec SUV brought to Africa. It's been running fine since we got here last year. I do not notice any performance decrease. I checked the oil and it is full and clean. This is the first oil change we've had here so I don't have any prior experience with maintainance over here.
Thanks for any help you can provide.
