Drives: 1994 toyota pickup 4x4,ext cab,4 cyl,efi,
Location: USA

I just recently bought a 1994 4x4 ext cab toyota pickup. The guy I bought the truck from said he had ran it out of gas and it developed a miss. it doesnt do it bad or all the time usually when I start the truck first thing of the day after sitting all night it runs fine for 5-10 minutes then it will start to miss and the check engine light comes on and when I apply the brakes it makes it worse. but after the truck warms up the miss is gone but the check light stays on it goes off briefly while I'm driving down the highway but comes right back on. It may have a little loss of power but not alot. would changing the fuel filter fix this problem? Thanks to any help in advance! I did try changing the fuel filter myself but it was too difficult for me couldnt come close to getting it off to replace it is there a secret to getting the fuel filters off these trucks? I located the fuel filter but cant figure out how to get it off.
