Hi guyz,
My name is Naizam. I am from Dayton oh. I got a 1992 Toyota corolla. 2 weeks back my cars exhaust pipe was broken and i fixed that with a new one. that cost me around $400. I am a student here in Wright state university. Now the problem with my car is the check engine is on.I dont know what the problem is. i took that to autozone for free diagnosing. but they dont diagnose cars below year 1996. I am looking for a place where i can diagnose the problem for free. can any guyz help me with this?
thank you,
Naizam

Did you check you gas cap that it may not be tight enough. Try to spin the gas cap at least three times. I got a 2004 corolla and had the same problem 6 weeks ago. After a few day, the engine check lit was off. However, the lit was on again last week. Probably, I will go to AutoZone for diagnostic. Sometime, I feel that some equipment may be afftected by the low temperature. The charges for inspection by the local dealers are so expensive about $55, $85 and $100. It is a very scared price. I dopn't understand why the charge is so high. They just use the handheld computer to get connection with your car. About 30 seconds, the result will come out. I had been Honda dealer Roush for checking the same problem for my Accord they charged me nothing. Also, you may try to reset your engine lit by disconnecting the battery cable a few seconds. I tried it and it worked.

Good luck.
