Well, I looked a little into it and the charcoal canister itself costs around 300 dollars, as the canister is an essential element in the fuel system. There is also the possibility that you left your gas cap off or did not screw it on tight enough, as this may trigger the P0441, resulting in the check engine light to turn on. It maybe expensive, but after all, it is the dealer, and isn't the easiest thing to diagnose or replace (have to see if its leaking, check the EVAP port, etc) If left unattended the only issue you may encounter is poor fuel economy, but in my opinion it's best to get it replaced (since Toyota's last forever those gas bills might add up before you invest in a new car :P)
best of luck..
