So about a week ago my check engine light came on as I was driving back from work one night. Once in a while when I turn on my engine and the air, i can smell fuel. I just got a diagnostic done today and it turns out that i need new sets of 02 sensors for my car. The estimated total was going to be 600 to get it all replaced. The mechanic said that he needed to repair all the sensors. I asked a friend and he said there was only 2 sensors so i shouldnt be paying that much, so i went back to the mechanic and asked and he said that there were four sensors, i So im not sure what else it is that he is replacing. So if anyone knows anything about how much the cost should be with labor included, or if i will be getting ripped off, please let me know. Thanks!

It could have 4. Newer cars do. 600 is not bad as each O2 sensor cost about 100 each.

I'm not sure which celica you have, but O2 replacement on a Gen7 celica is cheap and easy

I got the same problem that the engine check lit on. You may check up your gas cap that may not be tighten up. Try to spin at least three turns. Also, check and clean up your battery. You may disconnect the battery cable and clean up the clamp and the battery +ve poles. Then reconnect the battery cable with the battery carefully. I got the engine check lit on twice on my accord and corolla, and they were fixed by myself. It is stated in my Accord's own manual. Try it and good luck (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Hi everyone.

This happened to me also. Just bought me an 84 Celica GT (Auto EOD) 22REC a few weeks ago. Talk about CLEAN!!! Looks like it came right off the showroom floor (alright, , I'm exagerating a little. I'll post some pics here in the near future. You'll see for yourself.). MOF, The vacuum & Catalytic schematics on the underside of the hood still look brand new. It's got 134 K and I'm just the 2nd owner. Plenty of power. Loves the mountains. Doesn't leak a drop of anything.

Anyway, I took it to Washington state to visit my sons. For me, that's about a 1600 mile round trip (I live in Lake County Calif.). On the way back going over the Sisku ? Mountain range, my engine light came on for about 10 seconds. It went off and never came back. Never was no loss in performance. No noises. Nothing. Just can't figure out why it came on going up a hill.

Any answers?

Oh yeah, the front end disc pads are brand new and the right one tends to have a low pitched dull squeak.

Thanx in advance.

PROB
