Detroit's top auto executives and the United Auto Workers sat down Friday to hammer out a survival plan. And, in true Detroit fashion, Chrysler CEO Tom La Sorda came out swinging.
"Today, the domestic auto industry faces unprecedented challenges, and we can no longer afford to conduct 'business as usual,'" La Sorda thundered in a public broadside. "Our circumstances demand that we re-think our approach to our business and achieve true transformational change."
