Thanks for your questions, Allen. Feel free to inquire about the cruise, I'll be happy to answer any/all of your questions.
Yes, that's correct. It is done automatically. You absolutely DO NOT have to do ANYTHING but push the brake pedal to disengage the cruise control. The Coastal Cruise works exactly like a conventional cruise control. NO modifications are made to the brake system.
The Coastal Cruise Kit is tapped to 4 connections on the computer. One of these connections already goes to the brake pedal/switch. Therefore, we can use the other connections to control the brake input, the cruise system and derive power (less than 1/10 of an amp).
And, about the remotes. You get 2 with the kit. The receiver will train to an individual remote when you crank the car up and press a button. There are over 4 million codes.
So, interference from another
remote is ... remote! haha :)
Let me know if you need anything else,
Dave/coastalEtech

If there are 4 million codes, what happens if both remotes are lost, more likely stolen?

Because the receiver will learn the code of a new remote after the car is started, you simply call us and we will send you a replacement remote. You can think of these remotes as very similar to the ones that open your car door- it just does more. Hope this helps.
Coastal Dave
