My 1996 from new GXL Cruiser has performed exceedingly well, it has been classed as almost bullet proof!, it actually gets you back home without breakdowns.
Probably because I have had it serviced according to the toyota bible.
however- 167000ks means it is either good for another major run or change to a more economical vehicle-
So:
I am considering a number of options- fuel costs are getting extreme here in Aussie, but, not critcal yet! I really prefer the Prado diesel turbo-but- I have read recently where the beloved Prado is not quite what we are led to believe, tyre wear extreme- noisy radio with fridge on-rattles in dashboard.

Interested to hear if other owners out there have an opinion that may indicate a good alternative. or stay as sweet as we are and keep my cruiser?.

Regards Gordell.
