Hi. I'm test driving a 1999 Toyota Rav4 with 120K miles on it tomorrow and wanted to ask what a person might be wise to look for/check out in a used Rav? They are asking $6,450. There's some normal wear and tear but nothing really major that I can see so far other than it looks like they've painted over the alloy wheels and I think that might be because they were starting to show signs of corrosion. It's FWD, privacy glass, white with a stock CD/AM/FM stereo.

Basically, I'm shopping for a compliment to my 2000 Dodge Neon because my two teens are starting to drive and one works about 30 minutes from home. I can't afford brand new but was hoping for some sort of wagon type reliable vehicle rather than a second compact car. I'd appreciate any input, tips, warnings, whatever anyone might have to share.

Thanks!

laura
